About Sharon Lippincott

I'm hooked on all forms of life writing, especially memoir and journaling. I'm a dedicated lifelong learner and love sharing discoveries with others. I teach classes and workshops both locally and online on basic memoir and lifestory writing as well as specific skills like writing gripping description. My book, The Heart and Craft of Lifestory Writing has helped thousands create written legacies of their lives. I'm proud to be an adviser to the Allegheny County Library Association's initiative to sponsor lifestory writing groups in county libraries.

About This Blog

The Heart and Craft of Life Writing debuted on February 5, 2006 as a support platform for the then forthcoming book, The Heart and Craft of Lifestory Writing. By July 2015, the number of posts had grown to nearly 700, covering all aspects of life writing, from freewriting and journaling to memoir. Content includes author interviews as well as my own observations and tips from my book, The Heart and Craft of Lifestory Writing, which provided the initial impetus for starting the blog.
